Please see my resume below

Dear family and friends,

I am still actively looking for my next job. The market is very tough these days with many obstacles, including massive layoffs, and many companies instituting hiring freezes. Most of my relevant career experience has been as a technical program manager, and that's what I'm focusing on. However, I am also looking for non-technical program and project manager roles, given my extremely transferable skill set.

I am open to working with many kinds of companies and organizations. To provide a sense of my range, I’ve worked for Grubhub implementing software solutions for university partners, as well as a laundromat point-of-sale startup called Make Cents Technologies, where I managed over 900 customer tablets, ensuring they had the most up-to-date software. My last job was at Verdant Robotics, where I worked on launching enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and managed an inventory of 10,000 parts.

Would you mind taking five minutes to help me with the following?

  1. I’m looking to network with more technical program management and non-technical program and project management professionals. Can you think of one or two people who either work directly in these areas or have connections to such a person?

  2. If you know of such people, would you be open to sending them a message? I’ve written a note you can easily adapt below my email signature.

  3. I’m in search of great program and project management job recruiters. Do you know one or two recruiters who you, or a friend, could recommend?

For reference, my resume is below.

Thanks so much in advance for any help you can provide!

Note to send to potential connections:

"Hi [  your connection  ], I hope you’re well. I know you have experience in program and project management work, and I’m wondering if I can connect you with a dear friend of mine, Darrell Cohn, who is an experienced technical program management professional seeking his next role.

I know Darrell to be a [  nice things you think about me!  ] person, and I am motivated to help him find somewhere great where he can bring his many talents. He has years of experience in software development and implementation, client and vendor management, automation, data analysis, and continuous improvement at companies such as Grubhub, Make Cents Technologies, and Verdant Robotics. He is now seeking a leadership role to manage an organization’s technical program management needs, and is also open to non-technical program and project manager positions.

Would you be open to connecting with him — whether you are aware of open roles or not — to share more about your experience and, in turn, meet a great person?

If so, I’d love to make an introduction.”
